Description
A historic advertising wall-decoration measuring 4.60×2.80 meters, hand-painted using the turpentine oil technique on 20x20cm ceramic tiles, featuring a Studebaker Big Six from 1924. The image was conseived in conjunction with Auguste Rodin’s famous sculpture of The Thinker in a landscape around 1880. The wall decoration is still actually visible at Calle Tetuán Street no.9 in Seville Spain. It was designed and installed by the designer Enrique Orce Mámol as early in 1924! Commissioned by the advertising agency of the Studebaker car brand in the USA.
